Whether urban or outdoor subject matter, the use of acrylic, watercolor and soft pastels to create Robert’s works in impressionist style give them a dream-like and eye-catching quality.
Robert strives for a unique combination of realism to capture the essence of a particular place and abstraction to bring out the artistic elements. He is looking to capture those elements that give places identity and meaning, a lifelong pursuit of capturing beauty in the places he visits. Robert’s pieces evoke emotion, joy, and nostalgia in each view and transport the audience to his own creations.
